Unit Manager for the Street Unit

About Us

The Street Unit is responsible for the operation, care, and development of the municipality's streets and trafficked environments. We work year-round to create safe, accessible, and well-functioning public spaces for both residents and visitors. Our mission includes maintenance of streets, pedestrian and bicycle paths, road signs, playgrounds, and other infrastructure that forms the foundation for a sustainable and accessible society. About the Position

As a unit manager, you have overall responsibility for leading, developing, and following up the operations of the Park Unit. You are responsible for a team of about 10 employees who work practically with the care and operation of the municipality's streets and playgrounds. You have overall responsibility for:

• Planning, operation, and maintenance of the municipality's streets, pedestrian and bicycle paths, playgrounds, and road signs.
• Budget work, where you are responsible for the unit's operational budget and ensure a financially sustainable operation.
• Personnel and work environment responsibility, including planning, follow-up, and development of employees.
• Operational development, where you work systematically with your employees to ensure quality, service, and sustainability.
• High presence in the operations, where you lead closely, follow up on work on-site, and ensure that tasks are performed safely and efficiently.
• Acting quickly when needs arise and handling issues that require prioritization and clear decisions.

In this role, you collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to create safe and well-functioning environments for the municipality's residents and visitors.

Are You the One We Are Looking For:

You have:

• At least 3 years of documented experience as a manager with personnel, financial, and budget responsibility.
• We consider it an advantage if you have experience in technical management, preferably within operations, technical activities, street/park, or similar areas.
• The ability to prioritize, make decisions, and work systematically even when the pace is high.
• A valid driver's license, at least B.
• Good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing.
